You are seeing the fireworks being shot off of the top of the Flamingo and off of Planet Hollywood...
The display was fantastic and synchronized on all of the rooftops (MGM, Planet Hollywood, Flamingo, Venetian, Treasure Island, and Stratosphere which had a little different display). The red light in the distance is from the Luxor.
Music played which was Vegas oriented as the display went on for over 8 min. You have to see this at least once in your life. It was really amazing.
